The North Carolina State American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (NC State AFL-CIO) is the largest association of unions of working people in North Carolina, representing over a hundred thousand members, working together for good jobs, safe workplaces, workers’ rights, consumer protections, and quality public services on behalf of ALL working people. AFL-CIO is proud to stand with Ricky Hurtado as a champion of working people in our state.

The Carolina Federation is a statewide organization that brings local people together across race and the rural-urban divide to build political and electoral power in their own communities and across North Carolina.

The DLCC works to make sure Democrats are elected who will work to end the gerrymandering of districts to restore our democracy and end voter suppression. Ricky Hurtado is committed to working to end gerrymandering and give back the voice of voters at the polls.

This endorsement is a recognition of Ricky’s leadership in the struggle to fix our broken political system. Hurtado has highlighted his commitment to reject contributions from corporate PACs as concrete evidence that they will lead by example and fulfill their commitments to their constituents.

Equality North Carolina builds LGBTQ+ power through advocacy, education, and uplifting the stories of queer and trans North Carolinians in pursuit of racial and social justice.

The National Democratic Redistricting Committee is committed to creating fair districts where Democrats can compete. DNRC supports candidates who are involved in redistricting and candidates who protect democracy overall.

NCAE proudly stands with Ricky Hurtado as a pro public education candidate because he knows the importance of a strong, vibrant workforce in North Carolina and public education’s connection to making that happen. He will fight for public education by raising teacher pay and fully funding our public schools.

The North Carolina Chapter of the Sierra Club advocates across the state from the mountains to the coast, and in our capitol, for a clean, healthy North Carolina. Ricky pledges to be a pro-environment legislator so all North Carolinians can live healthy lives.

The Sister District Project works to turn states blue by winning state legislative elections in order to advance progressive policy and help end partisan gerrymandering. Ricky’s election in HD-63 is critical to making that a reality in North Carolina.

The Next 50 is building a leadership pipeline of justice and equity-minded leaders that will counter conservatives’ massive 50-year investment in young leaders.

WFD is a progressive grassroots movement organized as a political action committee under North Carolina law. WFD was formed in 2016 in response to threats to our democracy and with a focus on electing outstanding Democratic candidates to the NC legislature.
